:: CrossFire '07 - Desert Raid ::

This game is a fun and yet super crazy gory shoot 'em up. If you have ever played the PC DOS classic game Nite Raid, then you will definitely know where the inspiration for this game came from! Essentially, the game starts out rather easy, and you will have to plan your shots, as excessive shooting takes points away from your score. The game runs in quick 24 hour cycles through day and night, which is I thought was a pretty cool effect. So as you complete these 24 hour cycles, the game progressively gets faster, harder and introduces new aircraft and increased enemies such as: Large and small troop transport aircraft, Nukes, Mustang Bombers and of course, relentless waves of parachuting commandos! If one slips by your shots, he will enter your little fort and open fire, killing one of your men. You have three men in your fort, how many days can you survive? Unlike Nite Raid, this game did not feature the cool little intermissions scenes that game had. I've always wanted to redo this one again with some of my own cool intermission sequences, perhaps one day eh, and maybe on a retro console or the C64?
