This game was the third game of three different remakes of the classic Asteroids. Not a whole lot I need to say about this game, the title says it all... Blast those crazy space rocks in anaglyph 3D - And I mean extreme 3D! Why the slashed name you ask? Well, it all depended on what mode you were playing the game in. If playing anaglyph 3D mode it was Astro-Blaster 3D Extreme, if playing it in normal mode it was Astro-Blaster Retro Extreme. I'm not sure why I did this back then... Maybe it seemed like two different games at the time. Graphically this game was very interesting, I used pictures of river rocks for the asteroids as they seemed to have a high contrast and density working well for anaglyph 3D. The rest was retro hand drawn sprites with fewer colors, which actually turned out quite well.

:: How To Play ::

Use your keyboard or game pad to control your ship. Use the arrow keys or your d-pad/analog to rotate and thrust. Tap Left CTRL/Button 1/A to fire and Left ALT/Button 2/B to use hyperspace. Press Space to pause the game and ESC to quit at anytime. The aim of the game is to shoot, shoot, shoot, and blast that UFO for extra points - Have Fun!

The game download below is a zipped archive. This makes it easy to delete when you are done with the software. Once downloaded, go to the location where you downloaded the file. Right click and select 'Extract All' to unzip the archive. Open the unzipped folder and click the app icon to run the game. If you get a warning message and the game won't run, right click the app and click 'Troubleshoot Compatibility', then tinker with the different settings - Enjoy!
