Objective:
Like pinball? How about pinball where you can steer the
ball, break blocks, collect items, destroy ugly monsters
or best of all, the ball is a Jack-o-Lantern to smack
around? Yep, Jack-o's back in a pinball themed game!
This is not a sequel by any means but a spin-off of the
original platformer Jack-o's Revenge. As in the the
first game, you must collect all five of the magic items
and jump in the final cauldron to reverse a witch's
horrible spell! Will you find all the magic items? Will
the witch be destroyed? Not in this game! Ok, Ok on with
the objective. As in real pinball, you start by
launching the ball (Jack-o). Once launched, prepare for
the craziest pinball setup you've ever played! The
concept (not the game play) is simple! Steer Jack-o
around collecting magic, bouncing off bumpers and
crystal balls, collecting as many points as you can. Get
all of the 'Yellow' magic in an area to unlock a Skull
Portal (the skull and crossbones boxes). Steer
Jack-o into one of these when the eyes are flashing and
the mouth is moving to enter a Bonus Board. The Bonus
Boards are simple, break the blocks and hit the '?'
Bonus Boxes to earn bonus points and magic. To exit a
Bonus Board drop out the bottom of the screen. Through
out the Main Board are Dragon Statues holding a blue
crystal ball. Hit these crystal balls to blow out a
Dragon Statue's belly. Aim for the belly to enter a
Magic item Board. Break all the opposing blocks to gain
access to the magic item. Collect the magic item and
drop out the bottom of the board to exit. Collect all
five items, find the cauldron, land in it and find out
what happens! Now for the crystal balls, these are
described in detail below under 'Magic/Items'. As a
quick description, you want to hit these no matter what
the color is. Hit blue crystals to enter the Battle
Board, red ones to up your score bonus, or yellow ones
to earn bonus points. Through out the game are red
lights with numbers on them. These indicate your current
score bonus. Meaning anything you earn points on will be
multiplied by the current score bonus. Enough now, it's
time to smack Jack-o around pinball style!

Tips and Info

Menu:
Press 'Esc'
anytime on the title/menu screen to quit Jack-o's
Revenge Pinball. Press the 'Space
Bar'
or
'Esc'
while a game is in play to access the title/menu screen - There you can, Start a
New Game, Resume a Paused Game, Adjust the Sound and
Music Volumes or Quit Jack-o's Revenge Pinball. Note:
If you have a game paused you can also press 'Space'
to resume the current game in play.

Collect the following items to help Jack-o:
All
Magic:
Collect one hundred magic's over-all to receive an
extra Jack-o!
Blue
Magic:
The glowing blue stars, adds one magic to your
over-all magic.
Yellow
Magic:
The glowing yellow stars, adds five magic's to your
over-all magic. Collect all of the yellow magic's in
an area to unlock a Skull Portal, refer to the
'Objective' description above under 'General Info'
for detailed info on Skull Portals.
Bonus
Boxes:
Found only on the Secret Bonus Boards with a '?'
mark, bash these to earn bonus points and magic!
Crystal Balls:
Found only on the Main Board and the Battle Board
and come in three colors: Blue - These when hit teleport you to the Battle Board. There
you must destroy the two blue crystal ball generators
and destroy all of the witch's pets to escape. When you
complete a Battle Board that crystal ball turns Red, Hit it to increase your score bonus. It will then turn Yellow.
Hit these as often as you like to rack up bonus points!
Magic
Items:
Get the Scissors, Hatchet, Crown and the Spell Book
from the secret Item Boards found in the Dragon
Statues. Collect all of the items and find the cauldron to
win!
Launching
Jack-o:
As in real pinball you must launch the ball. Hold the 'Down' key on your keyboard or Hold the
Stick, D-Pad or Analog 'Down' on your Game Pad to launch Jack-o.
Controls:

Keyboard:
Use
your 'Arrow Keys' to control Jack-o. Hold Left or Right keys to steer. Use the Up
and Down
keys to speed up or slow down (push opposite direction).
The Left side Ctrl and Alt keys control the flippers.
Game
Pad: Use the D-pad
or
Analog
to control Jack-o. Push Left or Right to steer,
Up or Down to speed up or slow down (push opposite
direction). Use Buttons 1,2, L1 or R1 to control the
flippers.
Play Tips:
As
in real pinball, you can hold your flipper button(s)
while Jack-o bounces on it - allowing you to aim and hit
Jack-o when and where you want! Pinball and retro
games are based on the highest score you can get - Try
to collect all of the magic, break all the blocks on the
Item Boards, and clear all the secret Bonus Boards
before collecting all the magic items. It's important
you master steering and controlling Jack-o's speed -
Then you can hit or collect just about anything! Don't
forget collecting one hundred magic anywhere in the game
earns you an extra life! All pits and gaps on the
left, or right side of the main board are deadly - avoid
them entirely! The Battle Board is timed - Watch the
red bar at the bottom of your screen, if it depletes
you'll loose a life! Avoid landing in the cauldron
until you have all the items or Jack-o will die
instantly!
