H+Soft Retro Arcade Entertainment is dedicated to bringing you the play and feel of the classic and old school games ranging from the early 1980's to the mid 1990's. H+Soft games are downloads (not flash games) inspired by the old arcade coin-ops, PC's, console machines and most of all, the Commodore 64. The Commodore 64 (in my opinion) was a revolutionary machine that has made home gaming and personal computing what it is today. Released around 1981, the machine had a popular life span of about five years and had literally thousands of mostly action or arcade game titles. Of those games, most were developed by independent developers as well as large software companies, which contributes to the inspiration for 90% of my game developments. The rest are inspired by the later DOS, Coin-Ops & Console games from 1986 to 1995.

Why do I base my game creations around the classics such as the Commodore 64? I'll tell you why. First of all, the games of the Commodore 64  had a simple joystick and one fire button, meaning you didn't have to be a pasty weirdo locked up in a dark room for several days trying to beat a game or in other words, a complete 'vidiot' with double jointed fingers to enjoy video games. The games of that era were fast, fun and simple, basically you played for high scores by blasting hordes of enemies, rescuing a girl at the top of a structure, or by collecting all of a particular object on a level. What does all of this mean? It means games don't necessarily need to have hundreds of tedious levels, or seizure causing visuals to be fun, and H+Soft Retro Arcade Entertainment will continue to develop the classic/retro or mini style games from your younger years.
